Bijou presented us with the most ideal dinner imaginable. A few of us were vegetarians, and as sublime as the steaks were, accompanied by beautiful vegetables, I could have consumed the vegetarian concoctions for the rest of time! I shall never forget how happy we were with Andrea and how capable, appealing, lovely and delightful staff were. I loved — without reservation — having them working their magic in our small house.

Our nonprofit organization hired Bijou Catering twice in the last year, once in the fall for an evening social with our partners and the other during the summer for an annual board & staff retreat. Andrea and her crew are absolutely perfect. From the start, Andrea helped us design a menu that accommodated a range of dietary restrictions and included fresh, seasonal, and natural ingredients. Andrea’s attention to detail is a gift - her timing is impeccable, meals are insanely delicious, and the presentation is flawless. Her appetizers, salads, sides, entrees, and desserts are always well thought out and nothing short of amazing. Andrea was also quite reasonable with her rates given our budget. We would highly recommend Andrea to anyone for their dining or catering needs. When some people hire a caterer for a party, they often ask a friend for a recommendation or a quick Google search. I am not one of those people. I spent weeks researching and contacting potential candidates to cater my sons (very over the top) 1st birthday. I wanted to hire someone who would incorporate my vision while simultaneously creating thoughtful, beautiful, and delicious food. I needed everything a certain way, cause I’m pretty particular, and I had a huge plan for this party. When I first contacted Andrea from Bijou Catering, I was immediately impressed by how promptly she responded to my (multiple) emails, and how seamlessly and creatively she was able to understand my vision and incorporate it into the custom menu she created for me. Hiring her was the most obvious choice. When the day of the party arrived, Andrea and her staff were punctual, knowledgeable and creative with how to set up the space while respecting that I had multiple other vendors setting up. Each one of her staff members went above and beyond to ensure my guests were happy and well fed. The food was not only stunning to look at, but tasted absolutely delicious! Every member of her team dressed professionally, was able to answer questions about ingredients in the food, and was incredibly courteous. Most of my guests were begging me for her business cards before the party even ended. I clearly made a fantastic choice by choosing Bijou as my caterer and look forward to having them cater my next event.

For my birthday, I wanted an event to remember. Andrea at Bijou Catering was my answer. Andrea prepared nine exquisite courses, each perfectly created and beautifully plated. My friends were enchanted as each carefully prepared dish was put in front of them.

Our experience in working with Bijou Catering was just great. My family and friends loved all their food and had high praise for the beautiful presentation of each course. My daughter-in-law, a vegetarian, really appreciated the special efforts made specifically for her, said the risotto was excellent, and loved the hors d'oeuvres. 5 stars all round! I cannot forget to mention the two servers, who were nicely discreet and in the background, but took care of everything with quiet and pleasant efficiency. Thumbs up for them. I will not hesitate to recommend Bijou Catering in the future.

We had a divine experience with Andrea! We wanted to have a full dinner for 35 but not enough space to seat everyone, so Andrea created a dinner that was entirely passed plates, from the appetizers, to a soup course, to a salad, and several main courses, as well as three desserts. We gave her a budget, and she gave us several options. The plates were beyond delicious, with subtleties of flavor that you don’t usually get in passed plates, and all were beautifully presented. She and her staff were professional and friendly. The entire experience was lovely--I wouldn’t use anyone else!

I know very little about San Francisco but on my recent visit there (June 2016) I found a gem in Bjou catering. I wanted an elegant sit down meal for my friend’s birthday in the apartment we had rented thru VRBO. That’s exactly what we got. Andrea (owner) prepared a meal (right there) that was fantastic and flavorful from the avocado bruschetta and cabernet mashed potatoes to the mini carrot cakes for dessert. She and her server, Monica, were so delightful to have around they felt like part of our group (we had ten in all for dinner). If you were ever considering an alternative to a high-end restaurant I would not hesitate to recommend Bjou catering! They were outstanding!!!
